Rise Up! Women's Ministry

Our passion is to lead women to initial and continued faith in Jesus Christ and to help Christian women grow and thrive in their spiritual journey through relationships, teaching & ministry within the local church, the community, across the nation and around the world.

We are also excited about our quarterly Rise Up! Women’s Gatherings. Isaiah 60 says – ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you!… from this word our Rise Up! meetings were birthed in 2006.

God’s heart is to see women Rise Up! from the circumstances that have held them back from walking in their God given destinies. Our heart is to walk with women as they grow and become everything that God has intended them to be. Our Rise Up! gatherings provided a venue where women can come to receive ministry, encouragement and connection as they network with other women from our Lakemount family the community, and the larger body of Christ across the region.

Our mandate is also to encourage the release of gifting through special interest small groups, task groups, the arts, prayer initiatives; missions and godly parenting support both here, in the house, and throughout the nation. We also affirm and support the Western Ontario District Women’s events and outreaches.

Mens Ministry

Here at Lakemount we encourage men to develop groups, tasks, projects and outreach based on relationship with Jesus Christ and one another. The layout of that may be expressed in a variety of ways such as our Men’s Early Morning Prayer Group, our Ball Hockey team, a men’s Weekend Retreat, a camping trip, etc. Our District Men’s ministry Specialists call all of this together the “Half Time Report”. Check us out, find your area of interest from motorcycles, to carpentry, canoeing or prayer and if you have a great idea, let us know. If you are a man in need of fellowship, encouragement, and laughter, why not join us?
